Shaping the Future of Digital Wellness - The Digital Wellness Lab's Student Advisory Council

Greetings Friend of the Lab,

Here at the Lab, we believe that incorporating the authentic perspectives of young people into our research and initiatives plays a vital role in shaping the future of healthier technology and interactive media. We do this by engaging youth in our research development, directly surveying adolescents, and via our Student Advisory Council.

As a member of our Student Advisory Council, teens learn about the latest research on digital media and technology and its impact on young people, build their leadership skills, and contribute to important change initiatives by sharing their experiences and thoughts with each other, and our team. Each year culminates in a panel discussion with student advisors sharing insights directly with key industry decision makers from tech and media companies.

Applications for the 2024-25 Student Advisory Council are due September 9th. If you know a passionate US-based high school student eager to contribute to making technology and interactive media healthier and safer for young people, please encourage them to apply. We would love to see a diverse range of voices and ideas represented.

And thank you for your continued support and engagement. Together, we can drive positive change and make a lasting impact!

All our best,

Just as it's important to use tech with intentionality and mindfulness, it's incredibly important for our mental and physical health to slow down, take breaks, and enjoy the world around us. The Digital Wellness Lab is slowing down our travels this month and will be back on the road in September!
