EMPOWERING DIGITAL WELLNESS FOR KIDS | April 2026

March 2026 Public Newsletter - 2025 Impact Report

Dear Friend of the Lab,

We’re excited to share our latest Impact Report: Amplifying Youth Voices.

In 2025, we deepened our commitment to putting young people at the center of our work—not just as subjects of research, but as partners in it. From our first Amplify Youth Summit to our Pulse Surveys on school phone policies and teen belonging, we heard the same thing again and again: young people are navigating digital life with more intention and self-awareness than they often get credit for. They’re making it clear that it’s our job to listen, learn, and put what they teach us to work through guidance that supports healthier tech design, more effective tools for clinicians, and more practical resources for families.

In the report you’ll find highlights from the year, and a look at what's ahead.

The Digital Wellness Lab Turns Five!

Lab 5 year gathering group photo

What started as a mandate in March 2021 to change the conversation around kids and technology has grown into a global research enterprise, a team of 26 employees, a coalition of 65+ tech corporations and nonprofits committed to building a healthier internet, and a community of young people who are shaping the work at every step.

From our Pulse Surveys to our inaugural Unmuted Amplify Youth Summit, the past half-decade has been defined by one through-line: young people aren’t subjects of our research, they’re partners in it.

Read the retrospective for a look at what we’ve built over the past five years.
